Q) What is Dixie Ford Speed Shop?
A) Dixie Ford Speed Shop is the performance and accessory division of Dixie Ford, a local car dealership in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. We are an SVT Ford dealership, Roush Performance, Shelby, and Steeda Autosports dealer. At Dixie Ford Speed Shop we have access to almost every go fast part and accessory for your Mustang/Ford vehicle.
Q) Does Dixie Ford Speed Shop install parts?
A) At Dixie Ford Speed Shop we are equipped with 31 bays and certified technitians specially trained to install all your Mustang/Ford parts and accessories.
Q) How much would it cost to install my parts?
A) Dixie Ford Speed Shop has very competitive rates with very experienced factory trained technicians. Each operation is different; please contact us for a quotation. Some affiliated car clubs receive promotional rates, as well; Dixie Ford Speed Shop offers promotions throughout the year with additional discounts on both parts and labour. Q) What are the most common upgrades for my brand new vehicle?
A) As most customers are concerned with voiding warranty on their brand new vehicle certain options will have to wait, but don’t be scared. There are a lot of options for new vehicles. The most common change we see at Dixie Ford Speed Shop would be the FR1 Power Upgrade Package from Ford Racing. This kit along with Ford Racing’s FR3 Handling Package will give a V6 the feel and sound of a GT. It will give your GT the handling of a GT500 and it will bring a GT500 up to 540hp with 500 ft-lb torque.
Q) When is the best time to do work on my vehicle and how long do you need it?
A) At Dixie Ford Speed Shop we have a very large shop and many modifications can be done the same day. Larger modifications may take more time depending upon the complexity. If you are unsure when the best time is, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Q) What sort of deposit would be required to order parts?
A) At Dixie Ford Speed Shop we require pre-payment for any special order parts. Once your parts have arrived for pick-up, if you would like to pay by different means, we will refund your origional purchase and process the new tender.
Q) How long does it take for special order to arrive?
A) Depending upon the source of the part your order can sometime be delivered next day. If we don’t have it in stock, some orders can take longer, but we will work to get you parts to you as soon as possible. Dixie Ford Speed Shop will contact all customers once their entire order has arrived.
Q) What happens if my part is on backorder, can I cancel an order?
A) At Dixie Ford Speed Shop all parts are non-returnable, but if any specific part is placed on a backorder status you will be notified right away. Backordered perts can be cancelled, as long as they have not shipped from the supplier. If the part has shipped, you will be responsible for said part.
Q) Does Dixie Ford Speed Shop offer any warranty?
A) Dixie Ford Speed Shop has no warranty expressed or implied beyond the warranty of the manufacturer(s). Some parts (not all) come with a limited manufacturer's warranty on the parts only. Also, this warranty does not include labor costs for installation, removal, and/or shipping.
Q) Does Dixie Ford Speed Shop do anything other than performance parts and accessories?
A) As the key sponsor of the SVT Owners Association here in Toronto we are involved in many events outside the dealership. Since the launch of our website in 2010 we have already been part of the Canadian Motorsport Expo and Performance World Auto Show. Going forward we have scheduled an impromptu show and shine at the end of April and another in September. We are going to be at Mosport in August for our Redline Rendevous on track event and along with the SVTOA-Toronto we will be at many other events throughout the summer.
Q) What is the Redline Rendevous and how can I take part?
A) Dixie Ford Speed Shop and the SVTOA-Toronto are now celebrating our 10th annual on track event for SVT, fast Ford, and car enthusiasts alike. For the past 10 years we have traveled all over Ontario trying out every possible road course venue at our disposal. We have now driven tracks like Shannonville, Dunnville , Toronto Motorsport Park, Mosport DDT, and Mosport Main Track. Returning to Mosport again this year we invite you to join us in some great driving and lots of fun.
